TAPP Signs Onto Coalition Letter Against Banning, Over-Regulating Drug Ads

The Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity has signed onto a letter to Congress, urging opposition to efforts to quash direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription drugs.

In part, the coalition wrote, “Banning these advertisements outright or regulating them into oblivion would crush competition and keep patients in the dark. Consumers do not need government bureaucrats gate-keeping medical information. We urge you to resist these efforts.”
