New American Edge Project Poll Showcases the Importance of a Strong Domestic Technology Industry

A recent American Edge Project survey polled U.S. and European voters on domestic and foreign technology issues. American Edge found that 8-in-10 voters believe the United States and Europe must work together to defend Western values, and avoid heavy regulations that would hurt domestic technology and advantage China.

Additional findings affirm that Americans and Europeans share common values on a free and open internet and that voters across the Atlantic remain wary of Chinese and Russian influence in the U.S. and Europe. The polling reveals that voters are concerned about overbearing domestic technology regulation that hurts U.S. and European companies and aids Chinese and Russian technological growth.

It’s clear that U.S. and European voters desire a strong domestic technology industry—one that will defend against the growing influence of adversarial foreign governments and bolster domestic national security and economic growth.
