TAPP is a growing coalition of American companies, workers, trade associations, opinion leaders, lawmakers and policy makers committed to building job-generating global free trade partnerships and rejecting failed protectionist policies of the past.
Together, we play a critical role in what could potentially be the most significant foreign and domestic policy initiative of the 21st century: the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
I welcome you to join our efforts and encourage the newly appointed U.S. Trade Representative and the Obama Administration to press TPP negotiators on several key points: swift yet responsible completion; welcoming new Asia Pacific participants that commit to high standards; commitment to protect U.S. investments abroad, as well as domestic innovation and intellectual property; and streamlined regulations to speed the supply chain.
We will continue to work with our allied partner organizations to monitor the status of TPP negotiations and act as a conduit of information regarding this important policy initiative.
