TAPP Submits Comments to USPTO in Support of Patent Owners

TAPP submitted comments to the USPTO in response to their request for public input on proposed rule changes regarding discretionary institution practices, petition word-count limits, and settlement practices for America Invents Act trial proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Patent owners and their rights should be protected. America’s innovation economy is fueled by patent owners and their inventions. The USPTO should safeguard patent protections while ensuring fair and efficient trial proceedings. USPTO policies should foster innovation and incentivize investment.
