TAPP Urges Congress to Hold Pharmacy Benefit Managers Accountable

The Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity signed a letter in support of the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Project, which aims to reduce prescription drug costs for American patients and stop PBMs’ exploitative practices.

PBMs are entrenched in a system that has raised prices for medicines and lowered accessibility for patients. TAPP and fellow signatories of the letter support the reform of PBM schemes and the end of the corporate intermediaries that hold patients hostage.

As Congress is currently considering legislation to reform PBMs, TAPP urges lawmakers to enact meaningful legislation to improve accountability and transparency.
