TAPP Signs onto Letter to Congress by Coalition of 30+ Organizations in Support of Permitting Reform Bill

The Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity, as part of a Coalition of 30-plus organizations, recently wrote to Congress in support of permitting reform as contained in the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026 (BAAJA).

The letter notes that BAAJA contains several reforms that the coalition partners have long supported, including:

  • Smarter environmental review.

  • Firm timelines.

  • Faster related reviews.

  • Litigation reform.

  • Limits on the single-state veto.

  • Permit certainty.

The letter concludes, “After years of debate, BAAJA offers meaningful permitting reform. It would speed up approvals, lower energy costs, and create jobs. We urge members of Congress to pass the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act.”
